National Rainbow Day is all about celebrating the stunning spectrum of colors that grace the sky after a rain shower. To mark the occasion, I decided to engage my kids in a fun craft activity using a worksheet designed for creating their own rainbow.
Following the worksheet’s instructions, they applied glue along the rainbow’s arches and sprinkled salt over it for texture. With watercolor paints and brushes, they filled each section with vibrant hues, creating a beautiful effect as the colors spread and blended.
To complete their masterpieces, they crafted fluffy clouds using cotton balls. Through this simple yet engaging activity, they not only learned about colors and textures but also experienced the joy of creativity and the beauty of nature’s wonders. National Rainbow Day became a memorable moment of bonding and exploration for our family, reminding us of the magic that surrounds us every day.
